On Saturday, I decided to play in a party with random players. In the very first game, I met a player who clearly stood out with his skill. He stayed for the next game. Then he invited his friend, and we played as a trio. We won 8 out of 10 games.
These wins brought me back to the right state of mind – a winner’s mentality. When you think only about winning in a game. No thoughts about losing, giving up, or skipping the game.
On Sunday, encouraged by the wins, I decided to keep playing solo as a roamer. I played with a 50% win rate. In the second half of the day, I decided to pick Belerick.
A 7-game win streak, with MVP in 6 games.
The result – Mythic rank placement.
Tips:
- If you’re stuck at your rank, find friends and play in a party.
- Find the heroes that work for you.
- Try doing something differently instead of playing every game the same way.
- Watch the minimap.
- Make as much impact as possible.
- Stay positive.
- Most importantly – have a winner’s mindset.
There were games where our jungler was going 3/13 on Harley, our mascot. But even that didn’t stop us from winning.
Any game can be won through some kind of miracle. Never give up!
