Game Mood and Tilt

Game Mood and Tilt

Your emotional state matters when you play. Don't let yourself get nervous. Stay calm and calculated — your main goal is to destroy the enemy throne.

Many players will tell you: people don't climb because they get nervous and start being toxic to others. Negative chat rarely makes anyone play better — in 99% of cases it makes things worse. They forget the game and think about how to reply to you, not how to win. They might stop trying, go AFK, intentionally throw, or quit and leave.

A lot of people play for fun, however it goes. Don't fixate on others. Focus entirely on your own game. I've won plenty of matches without even noticing someone was feeding hard, was AFK, or had no items.

Explaining with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Mental state and tilt — a Mobile Legends: Bang Bang example.

It sounds simple, but mindset matters a lot in MOBA games. Your teammates may not be the strongest, and the enemy may play very well — but if you are locked on winning, you still have a real chance.

Even if someone disconnects, sells items, or intentional feeds, you can still win as four. Stay positive. Do not comment on teammate mistakes out loud or even in your head. Ideally, do not get stuck watching how “badly” your team is playing.

I have a habit: while I am in the fountain, I watch my teammates — and often I wish I had not. Some players ignore the match entirely while dead, but then they lose information: where enemies are, what just happened, and what to do after respawn.

Do not argue with teammates, and especially not with enemies. If enemies type weird stuff — mute instantly. If a teammate starts flaming in chat — mute them too.

There is no time for chat in a match. Games last 10–15 minutes; if you spend 5 of them arguing with someone you will never see again, the game often becomes a loss.

So barely talk to anyone in-game — only when you need to share useful info. Typing “Layla flick 10 sec” in chat is not required. Keep full focus on playing to win. If you want to talk, add them as a friend and chat between matches.
